Young Thug, currently facing trial in the YSL RICO case, made a rare social media post from jail, signaling a shift in his alliances.

In his brief message, he wrote, “whateva wham say goes,” indicating his support for Lil Baby, whose nickname is “Wham.”

The declaration came amid rising tensions between Lil Baby and Gunna. Lil Baby has been openly critical of Gunna since the latter accepted a plea deal in the RICO case in December 2022, a move many, including Lil Baby, saw as a betrayal.

Last summer, Lil Baby subtly criticized Gunna and others who took plea deals in an unreleased song, referring to them derogatorily and implying that their actions would not be well-received by their associates.

He has continued to express his disdain publicly, as evidenced by an incident at one of his concerts where he demanded a song featuring Gunna be turned off, cursing those he perceived as traitors.

Despite this, Gunna maintains that his relationship with Young Thug remains intact. In an April interview with XXL, Gunna stated that there was no ill will between him and Young Thug, asserting that their relationship is based on mutual love and respect.

Gunna also addressed the accusations of snitching, emphasizing that those making the accusations, like Lil Durk, 21 Savage, and Lil Baby, are not directly involved in the legal proceedings and, therefore, lack a complete understanding of the situation.

Gunna further mentioned that he had contacted some of his critics in the rap community, claiming the conversations were conducted peacefully, though he did not elaborate on the details.
