It has been confirmed that Gunna, a key figure in the ongoing RICO trial involving Young Thug, will not testify.

Despite having previously accepted a plea deal that sparked controversy, the court has decided not to call Gunna, a Crips Gang member, to the stand.

This decision comes after the judge instructed the prosecution to reduce the number of witnesses they intended to question.

Initially, the state had proposed over 700 named witnesses. However, following the judge’s order, this number has been significantly reduced, with only around 200 potential witnesses now expected to participate in the trial. The revised witness list no longer includes Gunna.

Other names removed from the list include Lil Wayne and Unfoonk, Thug’s brother, who was previously sentenced to over nine years in prison. Despite these exclusions, several notable figures may still be called to testify.

These include Birdman, the co-founder of Cash Money, and Rich Homie Quan, a former close collaborator of Thug. YFN Lucci is also on the witness list. Gunna has been the subject of numerous accusations suggesting he betrayed Young Thug to secure his plea deal.

However, he has consistently denied these allegations. As the trial continues, the public awaits further developments in this high-profile case. Birdman’s inclusion on the witness list is significant due to his close relationship and history with Young Thug.

Birdman, the co-founder of Cash Money, played a crucial role in ushering Young Thug into the mainstream music scene. They were part of the Rich Gang collective, and Birdman has mentored and guided Young Thug.

In the context of the ongoing RICO case, Birdman’s testimony could provide valuable insights into his professional activities and personal conduct.

Meanwhile, Young Thug and his YSL collective attempted to disqualify the lead prosecutor in the high-profile RICO case, but they were denied.

Young Thug, also known as Thugger, and his attorney Brian Steel had submitted a motion to remove Chief Deputy District Attorney Adriane Love from the case.

They argued that Love’s involvement threatened Thug’s right to a fair trial. The defense claimed that Love had become an unsworn witness due to her line of questioning during the trial.
