Jada Pinkett Smith believes Will Smith’s 2022 Oscars slap moment saved their marriage from collapsing.

In a new interview, actress Jada Pinkett Smith sensationally stated that husband Will Smith’s infamous 2022 Oscars slap indirectly “saved” their struggling marriage after years living separately.

Speaking to Daily Mail, Jada claimed witnessing Will Smith’s violent on-stage confrontation with Chris Rock represented a turning point for their rocky relationship, rather than a breaking point.

Jada calls the Will Smith slap as holy

“I call it the ‘holy slap’ now because so many positive things came after it,” remarked Jada, citing renewed closeness with Will after the incident initially dubbed catastrophic.

Jada’s comments come shortly after her own October admission that she and Will quietly seperated in 2015 and have lived apart for years since.

The Jada Pinkett memoir

In her recent memoir “Worthy”, Jada highlighted affair with singer August Alsina alongside other marriage troubles with Will, underscoring years of tension.

Yet the infamous slap seems to have unified the celebrities rather than divide. Jada credits the dramatic episode with crystallizing what truly mattered most.

Will caught with mystery lady who looks like Jada

Meanwhile, the Fresh Prince recently raised eyebrows after stepping with an unidentified woman in Miami.

Smith attended Miami’s Art Basel festival and was in the good company of the unknown woman who bears a striking resemblance to his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

The pair were later seen at Lucali, a popular pizza spot in Miami. Wearing something casual the 55-year-old actor seemed to be in high spirits and was full of smiles.
