Water by South African singer Tyla has been on the lips of many music enthusiasts since it landed in July this year. It is one of the fastest-rising songs and is currently ranked among the hottest R&B and hip-hop songs on the Billboard Chart.

The irresistible style of this world classic has, therefore, attracted American rapper and singer Travis Scott to its sonically endowed remix version.

Released on November 17, the remix is as good as the original, which has been nominated for the 2024 Grammys. Water (Remix) is a must-listen, as Scott brought on his own vibe and lyrical prowess.

This collaboration is happening after American music producer and Disc Jockey (DJ), Marshmello, did his own mash-up version of the song.

The latest Tyla-Travis Scott combination opens with Tyla’s perfect intro and accompanying sound effects before Scott steps in the middle to add his own flavor to the well-rated sound.

Tyla’s original Water had reportedly recorded 11.4 million official U.S. streams and continues to set new records both online and offline. The song had made waves on TikTok before sneaking into mainstream media.

Water, nominated recently in the Best African Music category for the 2024 Grammys, has also recorded about 150 million streams on Spotify. The remix with the two new guests, Travis Scott and Marshemello is also taking off gradually across streaming platforms.

Born Tyla Laura Seethal, she was recently adjudged Best Female Artiste at the African Entertainment Awards USA.  The 21-year-old has been recording music in 2019 to date, releasing her debut single, Getting Later which was widely accepted in her home country, South Africa, and beyond.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she started making videos on YouTube which earned her millions of views before going ahead to sign a recording contract with Epic Records through a joint venture with Fax Records in the United States.

She again has other singles titled To Last and Overdue.  She performed at the Dolce & Gabbana afterparty at Milan Fashion Week after releasing her single Been Thinking.

In May 2023, the young entertainer released the single Girl Next Door featuring Rush hitmaker Ayra Starr, prior to releasing Water, which is now the talk of the town.
