After a long wait, exceptional singer, Tems finally released her debut Born In The Wild album on Thursday, May 6, 2024.
It was initially planned to be unveiled in May but the singer for no clear reason, decided to push the release date forward until yesterday.
Born In The Wild is an 18-track compilation with titles like Special Baby (Interlude), Burning, Wickedest, Love Me JeJe, Get It Right (ft. Asake), Ready, Gangsta, Unfortunate, Boy o Boy, Forever, Free Fall (ft. J. Cole).
Other rests are Voices In My Head (Interlude), Turn Me Up, Me & U, T-Unit, You In My Face, Hold On. On Thursday night, the Me & You singer held a release party at an undisclosed location. She announced a promotional code “TEMSPARTY” for fans to join the fun.
The album has so far generated a little over 4 million playbacks on Audiomack alone, with many fans and artistes endorsing the project.

Ayra Starr, who also announced her second studio album last week, gave a thumbs up to Tems’ recent work in a post on her social media handle.
Having handed over the project to her fans, Tems will embark on her first world tour dubbed Born in the Wild across five continents this year.
The European leg of the tour is scheduled to begin on June 12, 2024, in London and will later move through North America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
She announced the trip on Friday May 10, 2024, asking fans to get tickets ahead of time. Tems, early on, teased fans with the single Love Me Jeje off the new album which ranked No.2 on the Afrobeats Chart UK as of May 6, 2024.
Born In The Wild album, according to Tems, is about her experiences and the “road rage” in the music industry.
“I named this [project] Born In The Wild because I really want to share my journey, my story, and my life after being seen. There was lot of hurdles I had to cross and I just wanted to give a perspective of what it is like to come from where I am from.
“The reason why it is ‘wild’ for me is that the culture is really survival of the fittest culture. It’s very fast…if you don’t work hard, you gonna drown and everybody is fighting all the time…the road rage is crazy,” she stated and described the music industry as “survival of the fittest,” she stated in an interview in May.
