Queen of rap, Nicki Minaj rolled out a new single titled, Last Time I Saw You in September this year.

The single is a part of a bigger project ― the sequel to her Pink Friday album that is due for release in November. The new single debuted on TikTok and has received commendations from the fans of the Barbie Queen.

Two of Minaj’s songs recently featured on Billboard Hot 100 hits – Super Freaky Girl and Red Ruby Da Sleeze with the former gaining a Video of the Year nomination at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

The Chun Li rapper and singer took to X to inform her fans that the new song was only available on TikTok at the moment adding that they could pre-save the song for when it is released officially.

The pop track was previewed as a minute-long piece on TikTok, giving way to Nicki’s singing talent. The song was first teased on Instagram Live earlier this month and fans were thrilled about her upcoming release.

“Glad you like the lyrics. The irony is that my fave part of the whole song is the very end… like the last 30 seconds. can’t wait for you guys to hear the whole thing.”

Nicki Minaj has regularly kept fans updated on her Pink Friday album.

The album, set for release in November, will be her first studio album since her 2018 album Queen which had songs like Chun Li and Barbie Dreams. The Pink Friday album has been recognized as a certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. (RIAA).

Last year, Minaj was awarded the Video Vanguard Award at VMAs 2022. She also emceed the 2022 VMAs alongside LL Cool J and Jack Harlow.

Not only that the Super Bass hitmaker performed an awesome mix of nine of her hits which included portions of Monster, Beez in the Trap, Anaconda, and others.

Minaj recirculated her 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty in 2021 and dropped the compilation, Queen Radio: Volume 1 last year.

Nicki Minaj is up for five potential awards at next month’s VMAs: Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Hip-Hop, Best R&B, and Best Visual Effects. The latter category is a particular genre-spanning one this year with “Super Freaky Girl” (featuring visual effects by Max Colt and Sergio Mashevskyi) nominated alongside visuals from Fall Out Boy, Harry Styles, Melanie Martinez, Sam Smith with Kim Petras, and Taylor Swift.

Pink Friday 2 was originally scheduled to arrive on October 20 but has now been shifted to November 17. Though the rapper didn’t state the exact reason for the delay, Minaj wrote on X that it was due to “some really exciting news that I’ll share with you guys @ a later time.”
