Top-tier musicians are some of the most wealthy people in our current dispensation owing to the myriad streams of income in the music industry.

In recent times, many musicians are noted to also be among the small bracket of wealthy folk who often flaunt their wealth at the least opportunity – which has come to be known and accepted the world over as a part of their craft.

Today, we throw the spotlight on Afrobeats and delve into the lifestyle of some of the genre’s most successful artistes. We would look at those who own private jets.

Davido

Noted as one of the most successful Afrobeats musicians of this generation, Davido, born David Adedeji Adeleke, is no stranger to luxury. Having been born into a well-to-do family, the Assurance hitmaker looked beyond the generational wealth and went on to create his own legacy. He owns a private jet which reportedly cost him $60 million including the purchase and customization.

Wizkid

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid or “Big Wiz” as he is affectionately called by close associates, is also the owner of a multimillion-dollar, state-of-the-art private jet. The Holla Ata Your Boy crooner is reported to charge $1 million before making an appearance at any show. It therefore comes as no surprise that he is a high-flyer with a jet of his own.

Don Jazzy

Don Jazzy, known in real life as Michael Collins Ajereh, is a Nigerian record producer from Umuahia and the CEO of Mavin Records. He keeps details of his assets away from the cameras. Even so, he is believed to be one of the artistes with a private aircraft whose worth is yet to be established.

Burna Boy

Multiple award-winning Nigerian star, Burna Boy is noted as one of the most influential artistes to come out of Africa. The artiste has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages. He is reported to have a huge bank account and owning a private jet is one of the few things that come with such pedigree and influence.

P-Square

Iconic Nigerian twin brothers and entertainers, Peter and Paul Okoye, famed as P-Square are one of the music duos in Africa to own a private jet. The two have rocked both local and international stages with their matchless talents.
