The new album Hit Me Hard and Soft by Billie Eilish reached 53.7 million streams on its second day on Spotify’s global chart.

The figure, according to an independent monitoring platform, was a 26 percent reduction in the total number accumulated previously.

Nonetheless, the 10-track project compilation continues to receive thumbs up from followers of the pop star.

In a recent with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Billie Eilish described the album as a true reflection of her personality.

“This is the most ‘me thing’ I have ever made and it is purely me and not any sort of character,” she stated in the interview which included his brother, Finneas, who produced the album.

Hit Me Hard and Soft, her third studio album, premiered May 17, 2024, with songs like Skinny, Lunch, Chihiro, Bird of a Feather, Wildflower, The Greatest, and many more.

The songs are said to be a reflection of the experiences in early-stage relationships, and breakups, and highlight issues of sexuality and self-confidence.

Following the album, Billie Eilish will start a musical tour which will run until 2025. It will begin September 29, 2024, at the Centre Videotron in Quebec, Canada.

The Hit Me Hard and Soft tour will later move through North America, and cities including Toronto, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Detroit, and several other locations.

The album is described as the pop star’s “most varied, mature album” so far. It will be recalled that Billie Eilish, joined Lana Del Rey on the stage on Friday night at the Coachella Music Festival to entertain fans and also preview songs on the new album.

In her relatively young career, the singer-songwriter has several awards and songs to her credit. She came to the limelight in 2015 with her debut single Ocean Eyes, written and produced by her brother Finneas O’Connell.
