Ayra Starr’s ‘hot’ song, Rhythm & Blues, has reached No.20 on the Billboard US Afrobeats Chart after eight long weeks on the league table, according to chart monitoring platform, Chart Africa.

The 21-year-old unveiled the trending single in September this year and went ahead to collaborate with a Swedish group of singers, Neiked on the song ‘You’re Hired.’

She again made history early this week, securing her first Grammy nomination -becoming the youngest Nigerian female performer to have attained that height.

The Mavin Records signee had previously said she was “taking over the world” and clearly, her achievements in recent times are an indication of how she is not relenting on her mission.

The official music video for Rhythm and Blues has so far reached over 3 million views on YouTube alone with over 1 million streams on Audiomack.

Ayra Starr was recently announced alongside Burna Boy, Asake, Davido, Rema, and others in the newly introduced ‘Best Afrobeats’ category for the recently held 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Starr is currently on her “21: The World Tour”, entertaining her huge following in the United Kingdom.

Videos of her performing at grand concerts in the UK have emerged on social media. The Sability singer had earlier performed at KoKo in London on November 13, 2023.

Apart from Ayra Starr, other African acts have also made progress on the Billboard Afrobeats Chart this week. They include Olamide with Infinity, which has spent 18 weeks on the chart and currently stands at No.32 as of November 15, 2023. Again, Nigerian singer Wande Cole is also said to have reached number 38 on the chart.

Best Global Act contender at the 2024 Grammys, Asake, and his Lonely at The Top has also continued to climb the US Afrobeats ladder, currently at No.14.
