Princeton University will host the 14th edition of the At The Well Summer Leadership Academy in July 2024 following consistent years since the initiative began to develop bright black minds.

Students will participate in leadership workshops, develop their critical thinking abilities, and write college essays over the two-week program.

This year, Nicole Ari Parker is partnering with At the Well Summer Leadership Academy and will be the program’s closing speaker. Nicole will talk about college choices and life decisions with the scholars throughout the program.

Brandi Harvey will set the tone for the event as the program’s brand ambassador.

ATW frequently collaborates with prominent people, educators, activists, and celebrities who have similar experiences and testimony. This year’s speakers are from the legal, financial, and medical fields.

Past speakers have included physician Michele Reed, plus-size supermodel Liris Crosse, researcher Julianne Malveaux, and chief of staff for the 2016 Democratic National Convention, Leah Daughtry.

The esteemed 2-week school led by Jacqueline Glass, CEO of At The Well Conferences, Inc. (ATW), and Executive Director April Burch Sookra is returning to the Princeton Theological Seminary (PTS) campus to shape the minds of the future.

In honor of Black History Month, PTS appointed Dr. Jonathan Walton as the institution’s first African American president.

Students from all over the nation will now be able to apply for this once-in-a-lifetime chance. The Well Young Women’s Leadership Academy will be held at Princeton Theological Seminary’s Erdman Center from July 16–29, 2024. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2024.

The program will take place virtually for the first three days, then classroom instruction will start on July 20.

A core curriculum designed to promote more black female corporate executives is taught to minority girls living in dorms from their sophomore and junior years of high school, giving them an Ivy League experience of living on campus during their college years.

The goal of the workshop facilitators is to help participants develop their ability to design well-rounded experiences.

A-to-Z founder and featured innovator on QVC and HSN Lisa Ascolese, financial guru and star of The Real Daytime talk show Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche, and up-and-coming actress Eden Duncan Smith have all been participants.

Financial literacy, developing a positive body image, entrepreneurship, promoting wellbeing, and boosting self-esteem are just a few of the subjects covered.
