The Work of Art album by Lonely At The Top hitmaker and Grammy nominee Asake has crossed 600 million streams on Audiomack, becoming the first album in the history of the platform to attain such an impressive record.
Another handiwork of the African star, Mr Money With The Vibe, released in September 2022, also ranks as the 2nd most streamed album of all time on the platform.
The Work of Art project has the famous Lonely At The Top single, which was among former US President Barack Obama’s 2023 playlist.
In November 2023, Asake teamed up with American singer-songwriter H.E.R. on the remix of Lonely At The Top.
Both performers tapped into the energy of the original recording to polish up the rhythm, with H.E.R. introducing her soulful vibes and vocals.

Work of Art is the second studio album by the Nigerian singer. It has 14 tracks, with a sole guest appearance from Olamide who was featured on the single, Amapiano.

Apart from the record set on Audiomack, the album had featured on charts in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, ending 2023 at No. 4 on the Billboard World Albums in the US.
As of November 2023, Work of Art had reached 100 million streams on Audiomack. This makes the current 600 million streams milestone extremely commendable.
Asake’s rise from a budding artiste to a global sensation has been described as inspiring, as he continues to break new ground in the industry.
Born Ahmed Ololade Asake, he rose to fame in 2020 with a series of upbeat singles that combined Afrobeats with Amapiano. The 28-year-old was raised in the state of Lagos, where he studied Theatre And Performing Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria.
His career took off in 2020 with the release of singles Lady and Mr. Money, endorsed by social media influencers. The popularity of these songs got him signed to YBNL record label and Empire Distribution in 2022. His debut Extended Play (EP) titled Ololade Asake, later that year featured the track Sungba. The song’s remix featuring Burna Boy reached No. 7 on the US Afrobeats Songs chart.
