Record producer Pheelz has discussed his experience working with Usher on the new Coming Home album, which is currently gaining traction online.

Describing the award-winning musician as a great student, he said the collaboration was both a surprise and a great learning opportunity. Although he has followed Usher’s music since childhood, he could not have imagined working with the music legend on a new compilation.

“I would listen to Usher almost everyday, growing up…Literally dive into his albums and just learn from him and to be able to write and produce…

“It was surprising for me…I am like I’m just a kid from Lagos why am I telling you what to do? It showed me how far the music has gone, and how far dreams can go as well,” Pheelz said in an interview with Apple Music.

The Finesse hitmaker is one of the guest artists on Usher’s newly released 20-track album. Both artistes collaborated on the song Ruin and its accompanying video, which was released in early January.

Coming Home, Usher’s first solo project since 2016, premiered on February 9, 2024. The seductive Rnb compilation has since become one of the best and trending albums produced.

It features Burna Boy, Summer Walker, 21 Savage, Latto, Pheelz and H.E.R. on fine sounds like: Good Good, A-Town Girl, Cold Blooded, Kissing Strangers, Keep on Dancing, Risk it All, and many others.

As of February 12, the official video for Ruin reached 2.3 million views on YouTube, as streaming figures on other platforms continue to multiply.

On Sunday, February 11, 2024, Usher delivered an exciting performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in Las Vegas, treating fans to powerful sounds from his three-decade catalogue.

The well-patronised show, which attracted hundreds of fans, was dedicated to black musicians who supported his career throughout the years. The singer is also embarking on his ‘Past Present Future’ tour, which begins February 14.
