William Roberts III, son of rapper Rick Ross, has been admitted to Bethune-Cookman University, a Historically Black College or University (HBCU), for his collegiate football career.
Roberts III reportedly received interest from Miami, Texas A&M, Syracuse, and Colorado.
His mother, Tia Kemp, proudly shared the news on Instagram and exclaimed “Let’s Go WILDCATS!!” “GOD IS THE GREATEST.”
According to 247 Sports, the 6-foot-2-inch, 270-pound linebacker played varsity football at St. Thomas Aquinas since his freshman year. His head coach at that time, Roger Harriot told the sports outlet that Roberts III was an extremely talented player and a well-rounded, character-oriented person. He added that the young sportsman’s best days are ahead of him.
Per the Miami Herald, Robert III’s recruitment page on 247 shows that aside from the above-listed schools, he also gained interest from Albany State University, the HBCU in Georgia where his father played football after graduating from Miami Carol City in 1993.
