NEIKED, a popular Swedish group made up of singers, songwriters, and record producers, has teamed up with Nigerian Afrobeats star, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr in a song titled You’re Hired which is set to put the Afrobeats genre into somewhat new territory.
In the well-composed song with audible vocals, Arya Starr, ‘hired’ for the refrain, sends an ‘invitation’ to the gentleman trying to win her heart.
You’re Hired has attracted positive reviews since its release as Ayra Starr’s energetic and mesmerizing vibes continue to catch up with the young and old patrons of the Afrobeats genre.
Commenting on the You’re Hired song on her X page, the MTV Europe Award Nominee said: “good music cannot be ignored, adding she is “taking over the world” with You’re Hired.
“Told y’all was taking over the world!! New records with @NEIKED out now,” she posted on her official X page, @ayrastarr.

Ayra Starr was recently announced alongside Nigerian Afrobeats singers Burna Boy, Asake, Davido, Rema, and others in the newly introduced Best Afrobeats category for the upcoming 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards.
Organizers of the event introduced the new category in recognition of the immense influence of Afrobeats music on the global stage.
According to Billboard, the 2023 MTV EMA is scheduled for November 5 and will be broadcast live to more than 150 countries from the Paris Nord.
The nominees in the maiden category are French superstar, Aya Nakamura, and Nigerian singers, Asake, Arya Starr, Burna Boy, Davido and Rema.
Apart from the new Afrobeats category, the genre featured prominently in other categories with Nigerian singer Rema’s hit remix with Selena Gomez, Calm Down, being nominated in the Best Song and Best Collaboration categories.
