Tyla’s self-titled debut album will be ready this Friday, March 22, 2024, with several guest features, including Tems.

The Grammy winner has been teasing her huge following with the yet-to-be-unveiled 14-track project, which has fresh sounds and some previously released singles.

She recently released a tracklist of the project which includes collaborations with artistes like Travis Scott, Kelvin Momo, Tems, Gunna, Skillibeng, and Becky G.

Tems appears on track five, titled No. 1. Other songs on the list include her smash hit Water, Truth or Dare, Breathe Me, Butterflies, On & On, Jump, Art, On My Body, Priorities, To Last, Safer, and Water (Remix) ft Travis Scott.

Tyla announced the release of her debut album after receiving a nomination for Best African Act at the 2024 Grammys. It would be recalled that the South African singer became famous for the global hit Water which ranked among the top hottest R&B/Hip-Hops songs on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

It was, therefore, not surprising that the song received an overwhelming endorsement at the 66th Grammys, making her the youngest African to have ever won the award.

“I’ve always been an advocate for African music, I love African music…and it’s the music I make, it’s the music I listen to all the time and I believed in it for so long, so I am happy it is getting its recognition. People are loving it and it’s an amazing time,” Tyla stated while picking up her golden gramophone in February.

The irresistible style of the world-class Water record attracted American rapper and singer, Travis Scott to a remix version, released on November 17, 2023. American music producer and Disc Jockey (DJ) Marshmello had also done his own mash-up version of the song.

The 22-year-old had announced a tour after her album was ready but had since postponed the plans. ‘The Tyla Tour’, included 34 dates throughout Europe and North America, and was originally scheduled to start on March 21, 2024, but she has yet to announce the new dates.
