The worst may be over for singer and songwriter, Trey Songz, as the judge in his sexual assault case has dismissed the charges for the third, and likely final time.
The judge ruled that the plaintiff in the matter failed to respond to his motion to dismiss, hence the decision to entirely dismiss the case.
Per the lawsuit originally filed in June 2023, Trey Songz was accused of exposing a woman’s breast without her consent during an event at a casino in Connecticut in the year 2013.
It was not until the year 2022 that the lawsuit against Trey Songz was initially brought forward through a demand letter, and was eventually filed in the summer of the following year.
The woman, who filed the lawsuit under the name Jane Doe, claimed that the musician pulled out her breast from her bathing suit top during a “Foxwoods Liquid Sundays with Trey Songz” event. She further alleged that there was video evidence to support her claim. Seeking a settlement out of court, she initially demanded over $5 million from the singer, but when he did not comply, she proceeded with a civil lawsuit.

Even though the complaint was amended multiple times, the judge eventually dismissed the case due to the statute of limitations and the lack of response from the plaintiff.
Trey Songz had previously denied any wrongdoing, and his lawyer argued that “this is yet another example of decade-old allegations being repurposed into a federal case to take advantage of California’s constitutionally questionable new lookback window. We look forward to vindicating Trey on the merits in court.”
In a related story, it has emerged that a witness in the case was allegedly offered $200,000 to lie about the facts of the matter.
Mariah Thielen who was a witness to the alleged incident claims she was there with Trey Songz and the alleged victim that night and says nothing ever happened.
The witness went on to say that while they were on the way to the singer’s house after leaving the club, the complainant was recording Trey Songz and he asked her to stop and she refused. After refusing, security reportedly escorted her out of the car.
