Travis Scott did not hold back his feelings about the Grammys during his performance at the 2024 awards ceremony on Sunday night.

The rapper, who was nominated for 10 awards but walked away empty-handed, expressed his frustration by ad-libbing the line:

“They slept on me 10 times,” while performing his hit song “FE!N” with Playboi Carti.

Travis Scott got zero awards from 10 nominations

Scott, who released his critically acclaimed album UTOPIA in 2023, was one of the most nominated artists at the Grammys, but failed to win any of the categories he was in.

His album was up for Best Rap Album, but lost to Killer Mike’s Michael, which also beat out Nas’ King’s Disease III, Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains, and Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss.

Fierce performance and protest at Grammys snub

Travis Scott also delivered a fiery performance of a medley of UTOPIA tracks, including Franchise, Out West, and Highest In The Room.

The rapper, who recently gifted a janitor $5,000, ended his set by smashing folding chairs against the ground, creating a chaotic scene that matched his energetic stage presence. It was unclear if this was a planned stunt or a spontaneous act of anger.

After the winner of Best Rap Album was announced, Scott took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a raised eyebrow emoji, implying his disbelief and disappointment. Many of his fans and fellow artists also showed their support and sympathy for him on social media, calling him the “real winner” and accusing the Grammys of being “rigged” and “biased”.

Although the family skipped the red carpet, Blue Ivy still managed to catch attention as she appeared on stage with her father to claim an award.#

She debuted a white off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood dress when she joined her father on stage as he accepted the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. The fine dress was paired with the fairytale-esque midi dress with $475 Larroude boots and a matching clutch.
