Following her arrest on a Driving Under Influence (DUI) charge, comedian Tiffany Haddish has pledged to ensure that she gets help as soon as possible.

In an exclusive interview with @entertainmenttonight, Haddish shared details of her arrest.

While speaking with the news outlet, the Girls Trip actress vowed that it “would never happen again.”

Haddish was found asleep inside her vehicle on Friday morning. She explained that her Tesla parked itself when she dozed off but her car was blocking a portion of the street.

According to reports, cops got a call around 5:45 AM about someone‘s vehicle stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive. The caller said the driver was apparently slumped over the wheel while the car was still running.

Thankfully, the actress and comedian was not involved in an accident, but cops who responded to the scene still arrested her. It was noted that she was apprehended peacefully.

“I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries,” she added. Nevertheless, the comedian says despite what happened she is staying positive.

She also spoke highly of the Beverly Hills Police Department on how they handled the situation.

This incident marks Haddish’s second DUI arrest, with the first occurring in January 2022. At that time, she was arrested in Atlanta after officers responded to a report of someone sleeping behind the wheel.

Haddish faced charges of DUI and improper stopping on a roadway, eventually being released after posting a $1,666 bond.

At the time, she was also caught sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle in Atlanta. She was arrested and booked for DUI and improper stopping on a roadway. Per court records, she’s scheduled to go to trial on December 4 for that case.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show, starring Jimmy Fallon later that month, she poked fun at the situation.

“I’ve been praying to God to send me a new man, a good man. God went ahead and sent me four in a uniform,” Haddish quipped. “I wasn’t expecting it. I was not expecting that at all. Now, I’ve got a really great lawyer, and we’re going to work it out. I’ve got to get my asking of things to God a little better.”

Haddish joins the long list of stars including Khloe Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Tiger Woods, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and more who have also been arrested for driving under influence.
