Celebrities have stepped up to criticize Diddy following the shocking release of a video that showed him beating up his then-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.

Though he has apologized in a video, Combs has come under fire for taking so long to take action.

Several well-known figures have begun to voice their opinions on social media including Bobby Shmurda, Erica Campbell, Judge Greg Mathis, and Cedric the Entertainer.

Some have even apologized to Cassie after questioning the details of her lawsuit against Diddy.

Here are the reactions of a few celebrities to the horrifying footage that went viral online over the weekend.

50 Cent

First on our list is none other than one of Diddy’s most outspoken detractors, who did not waste any time criticizing his long-standing rival.

The rapper posted a snarky statement on X, along with a clip of the video.

“Now that I know Puffy is innocent and didn’t do it, this proves nothing!” His attorneys will say something like, ‘May God help us all’.”

Slim Thug

The rapper said he was mistaken after first doubting Cassie’s statements and wondering whether she was just looking for money.

He shared on Instagram a copy of the video along with the following: “Damn Diddy, I tried to ride with the black man who had no charges yet, but I can’t stand behind this. I’m going to accept this loss.”

Claudia Jordan

The TV personality wrote harsh things on Instagram for those who supported Diddy in the face of Cassie’s accusations: “And some folks were really STILL defending this man and claiming Cassie was just ‘money hungry.’ Remember that this is what occurred when she attempted to leave him.

Although it’s our fault for “putting ourselves in these situations, women still require 50–11 witnesses, medical records, and security footage to be somewhat believed. SMH!!”

Cedric, the Entertainer

“We are really disappointed with the condition of our community! He posted on Instagram, “This footage of Diddy abusing Cassie is disgusting, utterly wicked, and extremely upsetting.

He must take genuine time to atone for his actions and the souls of everyone he has impacted, as a father to daughters and young men. This type of harm is what lingers throughout generations.”

Erica Campbell

“I’m so sorry you have to relive this, as so many are talking about your pain,” said Campbell on Instagram, offering Cassie her prayers and support.

“May love and family become a bigger part of your new reality. Love, blessings, and prayers”.

Stephen A. Smith

Diddy’s career is “over in the worst possible way,” according to Smith, who also referred to the video as “inexcusable” and “indefensible” in his response.

Christina Milian

“This suggests, in my opinion, that this occurs more frequently. Frequently than you might imagine,” she stated to the Daily Mail Online.

“My love, support, and heart go out to Cassie… For years, I believe many have.

And in my opinion, it’s critical that they keep going so that we can put an end to it. I adore that they will force us to put an end to any heinous maltreatment.”

Ryan Clark

“I will never do so in any situation…defend him…endorse him, show him any kindness at all in this matter,” Clark went on.

Although we’ve been hearing bad things about this man for a very long time, to witness him stomp that girl out and then want to appear in public as though he loved her and cared about her is unfathomable.

It’s among the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen. To me, he will always be a bitch.”

Kelly Price

When Price responded to Diddy’s video on the internet with prayers, she became the subject of a severe attack.

But when the criticism grew louder, she took to Instagram Live to address it, saying that she wasn’t trying to be a “Diddy cheerleader” and that all she wanted was for him to keep working on improving himself.

She made it clear that she shared everyone else’s horror at the footage.
