Taylor Swift has made a significant impact on the music industry with the release of her new album, The Tortured Poets Department.

The album has not only broken the streaming record previously held by Drake’s 2018 album, Scorpion, but also tied a chart record set by Jay-Z.

Swift’s album, released just over a week ago, has achieved an impressive 891.37 million streams, surpassing Scorpion’s first-week record of 746 million streams.

Her achievement has set a new benchmark for the biggest streaming week for an album in United States history.

In addition, The Tortured Poets Department debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 2.61 million album-equivalent units.

This ties Swift with Jay-Z as the solo artist with the most No. 1 albums in Billboard 200 history, each boasting 14 chart-topping albums. The only act with more No. 1 albums is The Beatles, with a record 19 albums.
