Pound Town star Sexyy Red has confirmed her upcoming debut on WWE NXT. The lifelong wrestling enthusiast’s appearance on the popular program was officially announced by WWE, setting the stage for her to be featured in the episode airing next Tuesday, May 28.

Sexyy Red’s anticipation for the event is stronger than ever. In a post on Instagram, she hinted at the possibility of getting physical during the show, even referencing Randy Orton’s signature move, the RKO.

According to WWE, Sexyy Red is a fan of NXT Champion Trick Williams and the stable, The Meta-Four, adding another layer of intrigue to her debut.

The crossover between hip-hop and wrestling doesn’t end there. Recently, Drake and Kendrick Lamar were invited by WWE legend and vice president Shawn Michaels to settle their feud in the ring. The offer came after Kendrick referenced wrestling in his diss track “Not Like Us.”

Meanwhile, female WWE superstar Jade Cargill wished to see more female hip-hop stars in wrestling. During an appearance on the Battleground podcast, she named Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, and Nicki Minaj as potential contenders.

Cargill emphasized the hard work and respect for the business required to enter the ring. She also mentioned her previous collaboration with Trina in AEW, highlighting the ongoing intersection of hip-hop and wrestling.

Hip hop’s presence in WWE is not new. Snoop Dogg has been a mainstay over the years, even hosting WrestleMania. Lil Wayne also appeared at this year’s WrestleMania, performing “A Milli” as Jey Uso entered.
