Residents in the Diaspora, hoping to enjoy Afrobeats and Comedy on one stage, should look out for entertainer, Michael Blackson, and rapper Gambo, as they begin a tour sometime next week.

The duo has announced the Afrobeats and Comedy Tour, which will start on January 26, 2024, and continue until November 9, 2024. They are expected to make their first stop in Orlando, Florida, United States, on January 26 and 27.

Chicago, Addisson, Charlotte, and Tempa, will be their next stops later in March. Details of the show are scanty, but it promises to be a blend of good music and laughter, inspired by the two performers.

Gambo is his stage name, but the songwriter and singer is officially known as Bashir Annan. Born on April 8, 1995, in Accra, Ghana, he began his music career at Presbyterian Boys Secondary School, where he was a student.

He returned to the United States recently to start working on his first full studio album. Some of his singles include Kwacha, Missed Call, and Drip.

Michael Kojo Blackson, on the other hand, needs no introduction. The Ghanaian-Liberian actor, philanthropist, and comedian based in the United States has been on the comic scene for years.

His stage name, which is an imitation of the legendary pop singer Michael Jackson, resonates with a lot of his fans. He has starred in a number of films, including More Money, More Family, Nobody’s Fool, American Dream and many others.

Both performers, who are masters at their craft, expect to give their guests a special treat when they mount the stage on the announced dates. Patrons have been asked to make reservations ahead of time.
