Award-winning music producer M.O.G Beatz is set to begin an incredible journey following a recent partnership with leading international music publisher Sony Music.

Details about the signing are scanty, but he would be expected to tap into his expertise to execute some meaningful projects for the entertainment company.

He has since received lots of congratulatory messages but is yet to comment publicly about the deal and the future of his career.

M.O.G. Beatz, known officially as John Kwesi Dosunmu-Mensah, specialises in Afro-pop, Hip-hop, Afrobeats, R&B, hip-life, Fuji, and Highlife music productions. He has hundreds of works to his credit and continues to break new ground in the industry.

He has worked with many local and international artistes since 2009. Some of his works include RNS by Sarkodie (released in 2016). He again played a part in Sarkodie’s 2023 Try Me single.

Other are Survivor by Wendy Shay, Adidede by Adina, and Country Side by Sarkodie ft. Black Sherif, all produced in 2022. The rest are Bob Marley and The Wailers’ Stir it Up featuring Sarkodie.  I Feel Nice by Kuami Eugene and Till We Die by Sarkodie ft. Ruger (2023).

RNS produced by M.O.G won the ‘HipLife Song of the Year’ award at the Ghana Music Awards UK and was also nominated for ‘HipLife Song of the Year’ at the 2017 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

His accolades include a four-time ‘Producer of the Year’ award at the 3Music Awards, making him the first producer to win the award back-to-back.

Sony Music Publishing is the largest music publisher in the world, with over five million songs owned or administered as of the end of March 2021, according to public records.

The US-based company is part of the Sony Music Group. The company was first formed as Sony/ATV in 1995 by the merger of Sony Music Publishing and ATV Music, which was owned by late entertainer Michael Jackson.
