‘Wild’ pictures of Nigerian Afrobeats singer Kizz Daniel’s personal guard surfaced online early this week, attracting mixed reactions from followers of the Buga hitmaker both online and offline.

The bodyguard started gaining attention when a video of him throwing off a fan who was trying to breach Kizz Daniel’s personal space during a performance emerged online.

Other images subsequently capture different aspects of the bodyguard, known as Kelvin Atobiloye, engaged in an intense workout routine and other fun activities.

In one post, he was seen guarding his asset, Kizz Daniel, known in real life as Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, as the team made their way through an entrance.

Clearly, Kelvin is not just a bodyguard but also finds the opportunity to display his dance skills and admiration for his “boss” as he jammed to one of the songs of the Woju composer while driving.

The Head of Security, in a bio on Kizzdaniel.net describes himself as an “experienced security guard with a passion for what he does”.

“My job description is to make sure I stay alert 24/7 to protect my artiste and his team from any threats whatsoever, be it life threat, theft, assault, or harassment, just to mention a few. My job role happens to be very delicate, as I need to stay woke and alert both at rehearsals, on stage, at meetings, press conferences, parties, hotels, and especially in transit,” he wrote.

As Head of Security, he again checks for every appointment and “double checks” for possible threats, and at some point, can cancel appointments, depending on the situation.

“My sole aim is to make sure my artiste is protected always,” Kelvin stressed.

Apart from his work as a security guard, he engages in other sporting activities as a hobby.

“I will need this kind of bouncer soon. Those of you looking for my trouble now should be prepared to face my head of security guard,” a fan wrote in a Facebook post.

“I just love how he does his work. Resilient!, another added One critic, however, suggested that the bouncer “will most likely be useless against a determined and agile assailant.”

“His only strong point is muscle. He is most likely lacking speed and agility,” the comment read.

Nonetheless, the buzz surrounding the bouncer early this week gives credence to players in the industry such as Nigerian singer, Patoranking, who says the success of Afrobeats is not just about the artiste but the people who work behind the scenes.

Atobiloye Kelvin is indeed a strong pillar behind the Cough hitmaker, who continues to justify his credibility and relevance in the Afrobeats circles and beyond.
