Music mogul, Kanye West, has called out Adidas for releasing “fake Yeezys”, and as such using his name on unapproved colorways and unfairly suing him over business differences.

The 46-year-old rapper took to social media to express his approval of how the company acted and claimed they took advantage of him. Describing their new release as “corny”, he added that anyone who loves him would not buy fake products from the company.

The All Of The Lights creator also revealed that aside not being able to see his children, his latest album, Vultures 1, has been removed from streaming services.

West then posted a follow-up video in which he further explained his position.

“Let me explain really clearly to you guys what’s happening now with Adidas,” he said in the clip. “Not only are they putting out fake colorways that are non-approved, they’re suing me for $250 million and they’re also not paying me for these shoes that they’re putting out that have my name on them. They’re using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape an artist, one of y’all favorite artists, right in front of y’all in broad daylight.”

West and the popular apparel company teamed up in 2013 and have worked together for almost a decade.

Through their partnership, collaborations such as NMD, Ultra Boost and Yeezy were created. All this came to an end in October 2022, following anti-Semitic statements from the artiste.

According to the shoebrand, it does not tolerate either antisemitism or any other sort of hate speech. It added that the rapper’s comments were unacceptable, hateful and dangerous. In the eyes of the company, West’s comments violated their values of diversity, inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.

In other news, for those who have been enjoying the album, Vultures 1, from Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, 51-year-old producer, Timbaland, has revealed that the second edition of the trilogy is on the way.

His announcement preceded some more good news for West, Ty and their fans as they learnt that the album earned the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for the second week in a row.
