Rapper Kanye West, has been implicated in a lawsuit filed by a former employee. The plaintiff, Benjamin Deshon Provo, a previous security guard at the Donda Academy, alleges that West and his management team discriminated against Black employees.
According to People.com, the suit states that West and his team treated Provo and other Black employees less than their white colleagues.
It is alleged that West frequently berated Black employees, while he never raised his voice towards white staff members.
Provo, who wears locs as part of his Muslim faith, claims that West ridiculed Black employees for their hairstyle.
He further alleges that West forced him to choose between his self-identity and financial stability. Provo was reportedly given an ultimatum to cut his hair or lose his job.

The lawsuit also alleges that West banned books by prominent Black leaders, including Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. Provo has not specified a particular amount in damages in his lawsuit.
Another employee sued Kanye West for discrimination
Earlier this month, another former Donda Academy employee, Trevor Phillips, also filed a case against West. Phillips joined the institution in 2022 and is now suing West for discrimination, harassment, and creating a hostile work environment.
Phillips alleges that West bullied Black employees and frequently discussed his porn addiction. He also claims that West made controversial statements about gay people, Hitler, and Jews.
In his lawsuit, Phillips alleges that West attempted to install a jail at his school, gave preferential treatment to white employees, and even threatened to punch him.
The complaint also details spontaneous firings, late-night summons to Nobu, and awkward situations involving West.
Phillips’ attorney stated that they hope the lawsuit will vindicate their clients’ rights and make West understand that his alleged messages of discrimination, antisemitism, and Hitler-love have no place in the world.
