Initially, Jennifer Lopez did not go on her musical tour as planned. The singer has canceled the ‘This Is Me… Live’ tour because she wants “to spend more time with her family.”

The announcement came in a newsletter shared with her fans on Friday, May 31, 2024.

“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down…“Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…” she wrote in a statement attributed to her.

It’s not clear if the tour will come off at another date during the year. Some sources have blamed the cancellation on low ticket sales while others suggest that time with her family time was necessary due to rumors about her divorcing her husband Ben Affleck.

Having delivered her 2024 album, the On The Floor, composer had stated that she would embark on the ‘This Is Me…Now Tour’, to promote the songs. Tickets for the tour started selling on February 20, 2024.

Her tour was planned to begin on June 26, 2024, at the Kia Centre in Orlando, and later go through Miami, Florida, Austin, Edinburg, and San Antonio on different dates, and finally wrap up on August 31, 2024, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

The cancellation of the tour comes days after the ATLAS movie was ranked number one on Netflix.

The production, which premiered, last week became the most-watched movie worldwide, with the celebrated star thanking her fans for the massive support.

“Gracias for making ATLAS number 1 worldwide on Netflix. I love you all so much,” she wrote on her timeline, with many of the followers responding with congratulatory messages and positive reviews about the production
