Actress and singer Jennifer Hudson has indicated that she is in a very happy place despite widespread rumors of her dating fellow actor and singer, Common.
The duo has been spotted together a lot recently and are staying close despite their silence.
Hudson and Common were once again spotted on Saturday during a special appearance at Joe’s Pub for a one-night-only tribute to well-known jazz vocalist Mikel Mwalimu-Banks. They were pictured entering the performance venue in New York City while holding hands.
Nonetheless, the Grammy winner talked about her current feelings regarding romance during an interview on Monday’s episode of “CBS Mornings,” as stated by Entertainment Tonight.
When Gayle King questioned Hudson about her personal life and her “very nice relationship with someone who shall remain nameless,” the 42-year-old talk show host responded that she is “very happy” in her relationship.

The Spotlight singer replied, “I am very happy, yes, ma’am,” as she giggled and smiled at King and her co-hosts. “Boo’ed up? I think it’s more sophisticated than boo’ed up—not an entanglement. That’s for sure.”
Ever since they were first spotted together in July 2022, Hudson and 51-year-old Common have sparked dating rumors despite the former’s lack of transparency regarding her beau’s identity.
While working on the upcoming action-thriller Breathe, the two hit it off on set. Since then, they have occasionally been spotted together.
In 2017, Hudson called off her engagement to David Otunga following a decade of dating.
In the meantime, Tiffany Haddish was most recently connected to Common, along with Erykah Badu, Taraji P. Henson, and Serena Williams.
Common has said nothing about the matter, and Hudson appears to have taken care not to add to the rumors. But still, Common responded with a big smile and chuckle when Al Roker questioned him about the dating rumors during his July appearance on Today.
He responded: “I’ll say, speaking of Chicago, she’s a Chicagoan, this amazing human being—I’ve always been inspired by her. She’s one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met on the planet. Amazing heart and she’s hot, dude… Having watched her grow from a singer and actress to someone doing so much more, her talk show is incredible, and she is an inspiration. I’m happy to have met her.”
