The Made In America festival, Jay-Z’s brainchild, has been canceled for the second consecutive year as organizers plan to revamp it.

In a statement on April 3, 2024, organizers indicated that the festival, a beacon of music and community since its inception, will not be held in 2024.

The festival has provided a platform for fans to connect, uplift local small businesses, and highlight important causes. It has always aimed for accessibility, breaking down barriers with affordable tickets and a convenient location.

The executive production team of Made In America is currently reimagining a live music experience that will reflect their love and dedication to music. They have assured fans of an exciting return to the festival scene.

The previous year’s festival was also canceled just weeks before the scheduled date due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the production team’s control.

While no artists were announced for the 2024 event, the 2023 festival, which was also canceled, had a star-studded lineup, including SZA, Ice Spice, Metro Boomin, Lizzo, and Tems. Cam’ron and Ma$e were also slated for a special joint set.

The last Made in America festival occurred in 2022, headlined by Tyler, The Creator, and Bad Bunny, with other performances by Pusha T, Kodak Black, and Lil Uzi Vert.

Founded by Jay-Z in 2012, the festival has traditionally been held every Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The inaugural event was headlined by Jay-Z himself and Pearl Jam, featuring a diverse lineup of acts such as Run-DMC, Drake, Odd Future, a Maybach Music Group showcase, and Calvin Harris.

In the subsequent years, the festival has seen performances by big names such as Kanye West, J. Cole, Rihanna, Pharrell Williams, The Weeknd, Future, Big Sean, Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, De La Soul, DJ Khaled, and Justin Bieber.
