It appears Beyoncé is negotiating to take over residency from U2 at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

One of the most recognizable landmasses on Earth is without a doubt Las Vegas, commonly referred to as “Sin City.” It’s hardly surprising that this is one of the most popular destinations in the world, with big wins in the casinos and exquisite dining options everywhere you look.

Furthermore, when an artiste signs a contract to do a residency in Las Vegas, they typically do so with one of the larger resorts on the Strip, wherein they commit to performing a set number of shows at the resort’s venue for a predetermined amount of time.

While some residencies last for years, others only last a few months.

Musicians can make a lot of money from Las Vegas residencies, whether they are promoting a new album, nearing the end of their career, or just want to try something more steady.

A host of stars including Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Adele, Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, and others have taken up residence in Las Vegas – with Usher recently making headlines over his residency.

Celebrities who take up Vegas residencies do so not only because they make millions of dollars but also because it’s easier and fancier than a tour.

Grammy Award-winning vocalist Beyoncé is allegedly in talks to take up a residency in Las Vegas in 2024.

James Dolan, the CEO of the recently built Sphere in Las Vegas, reportedly reached out to Queen Bey’s management about the prospect of a residency, according to pieces of information available.

The Sphere, a recently opened high-tech performance space, is anticipating a second chapter.

U2’s wildly popular U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere residency is still going on right now, but it won’t last much longer as the search is currently underway for the next big star, and one report suggests that a contender has already been selected.

According to reports, Beyoncé is the next performer on the Sphere’s wish list. There aren’t many details about the possible partnership, which is to be expected given Beyoncé’s reputation.

As per the report, the Grammy winner might conduct her concert residency, which would undoubtedly excite her fans and bring thousands of people to Las Vegas.

There are rumors circulating that Beyoncé may get a call from The Sphere’s team. But such a request is not going to be inexpensive. For an estimated $10 million, the singer’s team wants to build a sophisticated stage production. It’s a steep price, but it’s not unheard of. When U2 released The Sphere to the world in September of last year, they needed a similar amount to create the stage show they had imagined.

Although it’s unclear if Beyoncé has been to The Sphere herself, rumors have it that her husband, Jay-Z, and Bey’s mother, Tina Knowles, have both independently toured the facility.

Beyoncé is currently in high demand after the success of her Renaissance World Tour, which was praised by critics and fans alike as one of the most financially successful tours.

The next big thing for the pop sensation is the concert film Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, which is slated to open in theaters in early December.
