Rapper Ice Cube claims to be the creator of the greatest diss track ever. During a recent show, the legendary rapper boldly declared that his infamous track No Vaseline stands unmatched in the genre’s history.

At the show, Ice Cube didn’t hold back. He confidently proclaimed, “No Vaseline is the best diss song in hip-hop history.
He emphasized the track’s impact, noting that as a solo artist, he took on and dismantled four members of N.W.A and their manager in one fell swoop. “You can’t beat that,” he said with conviction.
Despite the harsh lyrics from over 30 years ago, Ice Cube respected his former group members, extending love to Dr. Dre, MC Ren, DJ Yella, and the late Eazy-E.

Released in October 1991 on Ice Cube’s second solo album, Death Certificate, No Vaseline directly responded to his former group’s disparaging remarks about him.
Its release marked a pivotal moment in hip-hop history, leading to Dr. Dre’s departure from N.W.A and the group’s eventual dissolution.
