Gyakie Endorses Ayra Starr’s New Album; Calls It Excellent

Songstress Gyakie, one of Ghana’s finest voices, endorsed Ayra Starr’s new album, in a post made on Friday.

Gyakie tweeted a picture of Ayra hours after the album was released adored with the caption “10/10” (ten over ten) meaning excellent.

The Rent Free hitmaker did not provide further details but her followers share similar thoughts and ask that she release her album soon.

Others saw the post as an attempt to catch Ayra Starr‘s eye for a possible Gyakie-Ayra Starr collaboration in the future.

Ayra Starr’s second studio album The Year I Turned 21 has guest features including Afrobeats finest, Asake, American singer Coco Jones, and other notable artistes. Many fans are reported to have pre-saved the album with streaming figures increasing rapidly on Spotify.

The recording has previously released singles like Birds Sing of Money, Goodbye (Warm Up) ft Asake, Woman Commando ft Coco Jones, Control, Lagos Love Story, Last Heartbreak Song, Bad Vibes, The Kids Are Alright.

In a recent interview, Ayra stated that she chose to work with the artistes featured on the album because she has a musical soft spot for each of them.

Gyakie released a new single titled December on Friday, March 5, 2024, which gained significant public attention.

The soulful rhythm had got some fans thinking aloud about the lyrics and the title of the song which is somewhat of a heartbreak composition.

The record came months after she had released the well-acclaimed record Rent Free in October 2023.

Gyakie demonstrates her vocal prowess on every record she produces, and the new single December was no exception.

The compositions followed the success of the sublime rendition Scar released early in April 2023, which had an overwhelming number of streams across music platforms. The appealing rendition had the audience jump onto the dancefloor when it arrived. The Forever hitmaker had previously treated fans to back-to-back renditions on the My Diary Extended Play (EP) and also produced the remix of the hit single Something ft Nigerian singer Omah Lay.
