Garcelle Beauvais is berating her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” (“RHOBH”) co-star Dorit Kemsley for remarks she made that were devoid of cultural sensitivity.
Following the airing of the January 3 episode, the distance between the women and their respective fan bases has grown.
Beauvais talked about how she was becoming increasingly irritated with the fashion designer’s word choices in tense exchanges.
The actress from “The Jamie Foxx Show”, during a lunch date said, “I feel like… there’s a pattern with you that I don’t know whether you’re aware of or not, but I’m just going to be completely blunt. It seems like Karen is acting in an unconscious way toward you.”
Following Beauvais’s call to action when she revealed that co-star Sutton Stracke had slept with a chauffeur, the former model called out Dorit during a December episode of the show, claiming she felt attacked by the only Black member of the cast of “RHOBH.” The Haitian beauty continued by saying that the use of the word “attacked” to characterize the altercation set her off.

Viewers can see that Dorit’s remarks about people of color have caused her former friend long-standing problems. In the most recent episode of The Real, the former co-host stated, “You have to know who you’re dealing with.”
Before Dorit said that her Black, Filipino, and Latino staff were exposing her children to diversity, Garcelle had no problems with her “RHOBH” co-star.
Garcelle Beauvais then said, Three things are off-limits when speaking to Black women. You avoid labeling us by not using terms like “aggressive,” “attack,” or “angry,”. However, Kemsley claimed to be hurt by her co-star calling her a “Karena,” expressing shock at the comment.
“Accusation holds a lot of implications,” she said, echoing a sentiment Beauvais attempted to instill in her regarding terms that denigrate Black women. During their conversation, Kemsley mentioned in a flashback that her two kids were exposed to “very multicultural” people because of the hired help they had.
“I feel like two years ago, we were talking about people of color. Has there been growth since the last time you were like, people of color have worked for you?” asked Beauvais.
In 2019, Garcelle Beauvais became the franchise’s first Black casting. At the time, the “RHOBH” had been on air for nine years and 10 seasons.
