Beyoncé, Stormzy, and The Weeknd were among the iconic performers who graced the largest festival stages last year – and 2024 won’t be any different for these and more performers!

Feeling overwhelmed by the abundance of lineups and festivals that keep popping up on your timeline and not knowing where to start? You are not alone because the level of talent within this genre is truly remarkable.

Nothing compares to seeing these performers perform live—they light up the stage and electrify audiences like nothing you’ve ever seen.

Here’s a thorough guide to 2024’s biggest events, including hip-hop and R&B festivals and concerts. If you want to be in the mosh pits, check out some of the hip-hop and R&B festivals of 2024.

Wireless Festival

Wireless is the UK’s hip-hop festival and is known to be one of the biggest events of the year in London and unquestionably one of the greatest hip-hop festivals of 2024. This massive gathering has its finger firmly on the hip-hop, R&B, and grime pulses.

Every time Wireless takes the stage, the performances are nothing short of incredible, and the enthusiastic audiences make it seem as though they were paid to act wild. This year’s Wireless is scheduled to take place at Finsbury Park in London, England, on Friday, July 12–Sunday, July 14, 2024. The event’s exciting lineup includes Nicki Minaj, Future, 21 Savage, J Hus, Doja Cat, Ice Spice, Sean Paul, and more.

Rolling-Loud Festival

The greatest US, British, and European rap acts will be featured at this year’s edition of Rolling Loud, which has been organizing enormous events for the past ten years, including enormous hip-hop festivals. Similar to Wireless, Rolling Loud draws music enthusiasts who genuinely adhere to the maxim “go hard or go home” mantra.

This music mundial will take place at Racino in Ebreichsdorf (near Vienna), Austria, from Friday, July 5, to Sunday, July 7, 2024. The lineup for the Californian version features many well-known artistes, including Nicki Minaj, Posty, Future x Metro Boomin, Rae Sremmurd, Suicideboys, Ski Mask, Bryson Tiller, Flo Milli, and others. If the Austrian version aims to replicate the same vibe, the lineup is probably going to be much the same.

Openair Frauenfeld

This July, Europe’s largest and wildest hip-hop festival Openair, will host music enthusiasts for a weekend of exceptional rap performances. The event will take place from Thursday, July 11, to Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Grosse Allmend in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.

Although the lineup for this year’s celebration hasn’t been announced yet, if it’s anything like the one from last year, we shouldn’t be concerned at all. Kendrick, Stormzy, Travis, JID, Denzel Curry, Joey Bada$$, Glorilla, Latto, Aitch, Central Cee, Metro Boomin, and Africa’s very own Wizkid were among the performers who graced the stages in 2023.

Lovers and friends

On Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Nevada, USA, Lovers and Friends will take place. Snoop Dogg, Nas, Lil Wayne (performing Tha Carter III), Mary J. Blige, M.I.A., Ludacris, Ja Rule, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Usher, T-Pain, and more are on the lineup.

Afro-Nation Portugal

Although Afro Nation is primarily an Afrobeats festival, it consistently features two incredible hip-hop headliners. An eclectic blend of sun, sea, Afrobeats, hip-hop, dancehall, Amapiano, Afro house, and R&B can be found at the Afro Nation festival. This year’s festival will feature Nicki Minaj, Uncle Waffles, Major League DJz, Rema, Asake, J Hus, Ninho, Dadju & Tayc, and more. The event will take place at Praia Da Rocha The Algarve in Portimão, Portugal, from Wednesday, June 26 to Friday, June 28, 2024.

Les Ardentes

This year, Les Ardentes will be hotter than ever as it will packed with contemporary hip-hop royalty. While it welcomes a variety of genres, the main focus of this Belgium festival is hip-hop and its subgenres. Nicki Minaj, Ayra Starr, Doja Cat, Nicki Savage, Central Cee, D-Block Europe, Offset, Sexyy Red, Yeat, DJ Snake, and more make up the 2024 lineup. This event will take place in Belgium at Rue de l’Arbre Courte-Joie, Rocourt, from Tuesday, June 11, to Friday, June 14, 2024.

Dreamville Festival

J. Cole is in charge of the Dreamville Festival’s lineup, which features performances from the artiste’s greatest hits, retro hits, and unreleased tracks. The artistes who were on the 2023 edition included Burna Boy, Wacka Flocka Flame, J. Cole, Drake, Usher, Lil Durk, Ari Lennox, JID, Glorilla, and more.

According to reports, Nicki Minaj will be performing at this year’s celebration, which will take place at Raleigh, North Carolina’s Dorothea Dix Park, on Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7, 2024.
