Brendan Paul, the alleged drug mule for music mogul Diddy, has accepted a plea deal that will allow him to avoid prison time.
Paul’s attorney, Brian Bieber, confirmed the deal, stating that his client would enter a drug rehabilitation program. Upon successful completion, the case against Paul would be dismissed without charges.
The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office confirmed that they had offered Paul the deal, which is a standard offer for non-violent first-time offenders.
Paul, a former Syracuse basketball player, was arrested last month at a Florida airport for possession of marijuana and cocaine. This arrest coincided with the federal investigation into the alleged dealings of Diddy, the embattled Bad Boy Records mogul.
Rolling Stone initially reported the arrest, stating that Paul was taken into custody at Opa-Loka Airport by the Miami-Dade Police, who were working in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security.
