Early this month, we reported how Davido reached over 400 million streams on Spotify in 184 countries.

Recent data put out by the international streaming platform shows his Unavailable record off the Timeless album was the most streamed Afrobeats song in 2023.

Another powerful record, Feel also made it to the top ten tracks of the year. This new record is not a coincidence, as the artiste himself is aware of his exploits throughout the year.

What is left is a possible Grammy Award next year as he faces off against Burna Boy in three different categories.

The list of most streamed Afrobeats songs has Victony’s Soweto featuring Don Toliver, Rema and Tempoe at No. 2. Fast-rising Nigerian artiste, JayO, also has his single titled 22 at the third spot.

Following in that order are: Rema (Charm); Libianca (People) feat. Ayra Starr & Omah Lay; Burna Boy(City Boys), Metro Boomin, Don Toliver & Wizkid (Link Up) feat. BEAM & Toian – (Spider-Verse Remix); Asake (Lonely At The Top), Davido (Feel), Libianca (People Sped up).

By December this year, the singer Davido, nicknamed OBO, had earned 14.1 million new listeners, according to Spotify. For him, 2023 has been an “avalanche of achievements,” and everything about him points to this reality.

His gratitude has no bounds as he continues to thank his “incredible fans” for helping spread his music across the world.

His Timeless album is competing with Burna Boy’s I Told Them for Best Global Album at the 66th Grammys.

Timeless helped me reconnect with my incredible fans, and we got to spread the music around the world. Thank you to you all for listening to me and helping the music last forever,” he wrote on his Facebook early in December.
