Country Singer Morgan Wallen To Be Arraigned For Reckless Conduct At Bar In Nashville

Country music singer, Morgan Wallen, is on the wrong side of the law after he misconducted himself at a bar over the weekend in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Everything I Love singer, according to local news reports, was arrested on Sunday after he threw a chair from a rooftop bar, six stories above street level.

He has reportedly been charged with three felony counts of “reckless endangerment as well as disorderly conduct.”

Details of the arrest indicate that a group of police officers were standing on Broadway outside Chief’s Bar in Nashville, a new establishment owned by Wallen’s friend and fellow country star Eric Church when a chair landed near them.

Members of staff at the bar told police officers that Wallen had thrown the chair, and the police later were able to view video of the singer “lunging and throwing an object over the roof.”

“At 10:53 p.m. Sunday, Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is cooperating fully with authorities,” A statement by Wallen’s attorney read.

Wallen is scheduled to appear in court on May 3 in Nashville, a day after playing two concerts at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium. Some of his followers who have reacted to the news said the singer needed to control his intake of alcohol before he got into “bigger trouble.”

Sunday’s incident was not the first time the country’s superstar had been arrested. According to reports, he had once been arrested for “public intoxication and disorderly conduct” at Kid Rock’s Nashville bar in 2020.  He is also said to have been caught on tape using a racial slur in early 2021.

The Billboard Music Awards winner released his third studio album, titled One Thing At A Time in 2023. success of the album had the New York Times proclaim the singer as “one of the biggest stars in pop.”

One Thing At A Time reportedly stayed on top of the all-genre Billboard 200 chart for 18 non-consecutive weeks and was rated the most streamed album of the year on Spotify.

Wallen recently ended his five-country, three-continent tour dubbed ‘One Night At A Time World Tour’, entertaining over one million fans in 2022 and 2023.
