The Daily Wire has parted ways with controversial right-wing commentator Candace Owens.

Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing announced on X on Friday that “Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship.” He didn’t go into detail about the reasons for the relocation.

In 2021, Owens started working for Daily Wire as a commentary show host during the workdays.

Owens reposted shortly after Boreing’s announcement, confirming that she was no longer with Daily Wire.

On the Daily Wire website, her show is described as follows: “Candace Owens tackles today’s political and cultural issues head-on in her show, holding nothing back.” Including in-depth analyses, research, and exposés on the hottest subjects of the day. Watch Candace Owens at 2:00 PM CT, Monday through Friday.

“It’s true what they say—I’m free at last,” Owens wrote to her 4.8 million fans on X. “There will be many announcements in the coming weeks,” she continued, sharing an emoji of a cross and the American flag. Fans who “would like to support my work” can donate to her on the Revv platform or go to her website, CandaceOwens.com, according to the actress. Owens announced that “after a brief hiatus,” she will resume hosting her show on her YouTube channel.

As per Mediaite, Owens’s exit from the publication occurs subsequent to “months of tensions between her and Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro over her promotion of various anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.”

Owens has been more critical of Israel’s military response in Gaza ever since the terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians by Hamas on October 7. Owens has expressed opinions that are viewed as anti-Semitic from her position at Daily Wire. She recently claimed on her Daily Wire program that a Jewish “gang” in Hollywood is responsible for “horrific things” and implied that if TikTok is prohibited, “Jews are going to be blamed.”

Owens is alleged to have approved of an X post earlier this week that spread the anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that Jews were “drunk on Christian blood.” In a TikTok video, the ardent pro-Israeli Shapiro was heard speaking at a private function and referred to Owens’ actions as “absolutely disgraceful.”

“White supremacist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes is praising Candace Owens’ vitriolic antisemitism,” the Anti-Defamation League said in a post on Thursday. It should come as no surprise, but it raises red flags nonetheless: hate grows stronger when racists band together to promote antisemitic ideas.

Owens said on Friday, “I am grateful they have turned their smear merchant guns on me,” in response to the ADL. “My heart is already known to the world. The result of their attacks will be the opposite. Wake up, world. I’m grateful, @adl”.
