Rick Ross, known in real life as William Leonard Roberts II, shared a clip on his Instagram Story last week of how he would like to sign American rapper Kanye West to his Maybach Music Group (MMG) label.

“I just had an amazing idea, a boss idea. This is something that’s extremely realistic to me. We’ve created amazing masterpieces in the past. The boss, Ricky Rozay, I’m interested in signing Kanye West,” the Miami star said in a clip on his Instagram Stories. “Maybach Music. Ye, what’s up? Talk to me. Let’s make history, baby.”

In the past, Ricky and Kanye West have teamed up to create massive hits including My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

One notable song the duo has created is the legendary Devil In A New Dress. The Hustling star recounts being given constructive criticism by Ye on his verse for the song.

During an interview with HBO’s The Shop in 2010, Rozay reflected on how being challenged by the American heavyweight rapper pushed him to rewrite what would become a masterpiece verse for the hit.

Devil In A New Dress landed on Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album in 2010 and the track is now certified platinum. Rozay and Yeezy went on to work together on tracks such as “Sanctified,” “Live Fast, Die Young,” “I Wish You Would,” and “Monster”.

This the first time somebody ever said Rozay, “I know you, you could go harder. Rozay ain’t used to that. He comes back like, ‘Rozay, you know I know you. This verse right here… And I looked at him like, ‘What? I could what?

Currently, Rick Ross is heavily promoting forthcoming album with Philadelphia rapper, Meek Mill. The album, Too Good To Be True, has lead songs SHAQ & KOBE (released in September) and Lyrical Eazy (released on October 20)

Meek Mill took to his social media platforms to share his upcoming collaboration with the Big Boss.

“Ni**as ain’t seen me or Ross around each other for a long time,” shared the Philadelphia native. “We got back to the business, straight back to the family, love, and jumped right back in the studio immediately. So, y’all about to get that live and direct and what happens. Tune in.”

According to reports by REVOLT, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have worked together to create a joint project and were planning to debut their full-length offering via a concert at Italy’s RCF Arena, a location that can hold up to 100,000 people. According to Billboard Italy, that event has since been postponed as the two work to secure a distributor for the unnamed LP.
