Born January 7, 2012, Blue Ivy Carter, the eleven-year-old daughter of power couple, Jay-Z and Beyonce became arguably the most famous child on the planet at the time of her birth.

Many would have thought Blue Ivy Carter would ride on the wings of her famous parents but the youngest BET award winner has etched her own path and continues to rise to fame all on her own.

Blue Ivy’s cries and coos were featured on her father’s Glory track and earned her an unforgettable place as the youngest person to be on the Billboard charts.  She joined the choir on Coldplay’s song Up&Up from their album A Head Full of Dreams in 2015.

Blue was only nine years old when she scored her very first Grammy award back in 2021 alongside her mom for their song Brown Skin Girl, making her the second-youngest person in history to win a Grammy award.

Blue made an appearance at the 2022 Academy Awards while her mom was performing her song, Be Alive from the film, King Richard

The first child of the Carters took home the prize for best video for Brown Skin Girl. Beyonce and her daughter shared the award with Nigeria’s Wizkid, as well as the video’s director, Jenn Nkiru.

The star child, in September 2021, also earned a place as the youngest-ever MTV Video Music Award winner for Brown Skin Girl, beating out great nominees like Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Chance the Rapper, and Lady Gaga.

Matthew A. Cherry, author of Hair Love announced on Instagram and Twitter on Nov. 9, 2020, that Blue Ivy was the narrator of his children’s book’s audio version.

Hair Love tells the touching story of a Black father who learns how to do his young daughter’s hair while his wife is in the hospital. As the young protagonist soon finds out, her father isn’t quite sure what to do with her locks — but they work together to find a solution. Times even indicated Blue could win a Grammy award for spoken word.

Fans had the chance to see Blue Ivy evolve as a stage performer during the Renaissance World Tour with her mom where the concert featured a choreography of My Power.

Blue’s grandmother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, shared with People back in July her adoration for her granddaughter.

“She’s having the time of her life, and I couldn’t be more proud of her because she really worked hard. She is 11 years old, and she had one week to prepare, and she’s just getting better and better. So I’m the proud grandma, always.”

Beyoncé also expressed how proud she was of her eldest girl in a post on social media.

“My beautiful firstborn. I’m so proud and thankful to be your mama. You bring us so much joy, my sweet angel,”

Jay-Z, Roc Nation’s founder who doubles as the father of Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir, shared how he bonds with his daughter.

“Blue, she be frontin’ on me a little bit. But I catch her. I catch her in the corner, you know? Now she asks me, you know, if this is cool, if her sneakers [are cool]. She’s come back,” Jay-Z noted.

The acclaimed Princess of Pop, as reported by the Times, has a name also as a trademark. During a meeting with Beyonce and her lawyers, a statement was issued relating to the significance of the young star’s identity

The brief declared, “Blue Ivy Carter is a cultural icon who has been described as a ‘mini style star’ and has been celebrated for her ‘fashion moments’ over [sic] the years…Her life and activities are followed extensively by the media and the public.”
