Since formally divorcing Wiz Khalifa in 2016, Amber Rose has finally acknowledged that she has changed significantly.

Khalifa and Rose first became romantically involved in 2011, and a year later, they got married. Before Amber filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences,” their marriage was in its 18th month.

On Thursday, November 16, Amber Rose, model and founder of Slut Walk revealed in an interview with the No Jumper podcast that she was so devastated by the breakup with the Black and Yellow hit singer that she was unable to stop crying for “Three Years Straight”.

The model, 40, who was also asked about her co-parenting arrangement with Khalifa, described her ex-husband as her “best friend.”

“I was over there with my other son, Slash, and Bash, at his Halloween party. Though Slash is not his child, Khalifa still picks them up and plays with them. We just see ourselves as a family, and that’s all. Life is simple once you stop caring about who he or she is fucking or what they are doing and just focus on the kids”, Rose revealed.

Still, the ex-couple seems to have mastered the art of co-parenting. The two got back together in 2021 to throw their son an “epic” Halloween party inspired by Fortnite.

Wiz and his girlfriend showed up as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, while Amber dressed in vintage 70s fashion.

Wiz had a proud father moment earlier this year when he supported his son Sebastian at his fourth-grade graduation.

Amber Rose was naturally present for her son’s special day. Aimee Aguilar, Wiz’s current girlfriend, and Slash, Amber’s second child, whom she shares with Def Jam executive Alexander “AE” Edwards, also joined them.

“On our way to 5th grade,” Wiz captioned the post he shared on social media.

However, the road to their amicable blended family didn’t start out smoothly. Rose admits it was hard at first, but only when feelings are still involved.

“With Wiz, I cried for like three years straight… Wiz was the love of my life. I used to just sit in the shower and be like, ‘Fuck,’” Rose confessed.

She continued, “He feels the same way. We’ve had this conversation. He’s said it in interviews and stuff like that. I believe that the reason we are still able to be close and co-parent is because we were each other’s soulmates.”

Given their mutual understanding of being each other’s soulmates, the co-host asked Amber why she and Wiz could simply get back together and try again.

“Amy is his girlfriend now; they’ve been dating for four or five years, and she’s amazing,” Rose said.

She went on to say that since she had stepparents growing up, she didn’t feel uncomfortable about another woman becoming involved in her son’s life. “You have to get over your ego and stop believing that this other person is going to make your child stop loving you.”
