American rapper 50 Cent has publicly expressed his skepticism towards fellow artist Diddy’s apology for a past assault incident. The incident in question dates back to 2016 and involves Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie.

A video that recently surfaced online shows Diddy in a violent altercation with Cassie in a hotel hallway. Following the leak, the rap mogul promptly issued an apology on Instagram.

He acknowledged hitting rock bottom and expressed disgust at his actions. He also took full responsibility for his behavior in the video and committed daily to becoming a better man.

50 Cent not convinced by Diddy’s apology

However, the apology did not convince 50 Cent, a longtime adversary of Diddy. He shared the video on his own Instagram page, questioning the advice Diddy was receiving and labeling it a ‘bad move’.

Adding fuel to the fire, 50 Cent later shared a screenshot of Cassie’s response to Diddy’s apology, which she deemed ‘disingenuous’.

50 empathized with Cassie and criticized Diddy for not addressing her directly in his apology after the video was leaked. He further questioned the effectiveness of Diddy’s crisis management PR team.

The controversy doesn’t end there. 50 Cent had previously commented on the assault footage when the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced their inability to charge Diddy due to the statute of limitations.

He suggested that releasing the tape was strategic, as the public couldn’t ‘unsee’ what they had witnessed.

Furthermore, 50 Cent brought up Diddy’s previous denial of multiple sexual assault allegations against him, humorously likening the situation to a lie detector test on a popular talk show.
