Usher Raymond is teasing fans about his new album as he has released the official video for Ruin, one of the songs from the Coming Home project.

The song features Nigerian singer and producer Pheelz and is one of the 20-track lists he announced early this week.  The video has generated nearly 1 million views in barely 24 hours.

The full album will premiere on February 9, 2024, being its first solo project after seven years. Apart from Pheelz, the album will also feature Burna Boy and guests like H.E.R., 21 Savage, and Stone Kold Freak.

Ruin has been selected by some of Usher’s followers as one of their favourites on the compilation. It is, however, not clear if other singles will be leaked off the album before the official release date.

The video has beautiful choreography from the dancer, as the sensual sound incorporates R&B and Afrobeats elements.

“Usher being relevant in 30 years since his debut isn’t something a lot of people can say, glad I can say I’ve witnessed him during this era,” a user said about the video.

Award-winning Usher has lots of recordings and recognitions to his credit. He has sold millions of albums and digital songs, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time.

Pheelz, born Phillip Kayode Moses, is a native of Ogun State, Nigeria, and has worked with musicians like Davido, Olamide, Wizkid, Fireboy DML, Teni, Tiwa Savage, and others.

His breakthrough as a producer was in 2012, when he produced the chart-topping singles by Olamide titled First of All and Fucking With the Devil, off the YBNL album. Pheelz, however, is best associated with the 2022 Tiktok-viral single Finesse featuring BNXN formally known as Buju.
