American singer Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour is still shattering records five months after it debuted. The blockbuster concert film has already become Disney+’s most-streamed music special of all time, surpassing the previous record just three days after its March 14 premiere.

The three-hour-plus film has recorded over 16.2 million hours over its first weekend. It beats other music documentaries, including Swift’s Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, Elton John’s Farewell From Dodger Stadium, Beyoncé’s Black Is King: A Film, and The Beatles’ Get Back.

The award-winning singer’s film opened in theatres in October last year, and it quickly became the highest-grossing concert film in history, collecting more than $92.8 million in only one weekend. In honor of her 34th birthday in December, Swift made a significantly extended version available for on-demand rental, adding previously deleted performances of Wildest Dreams, The Archer, and Long Live.

The version on Disney+ has exclusive content, including Swift’s first-ever performances of Cardigan and the surprise songs Maroon, Death by a Thousand Cuts, You Are in Love, and I Can See You.

After a six-night run in Singapore, the Shake It Off hitmaker is taking a two-month hiatus from touring in preparation for the April 19 release of her new album, The Tortured Poets Department. She will continue where she left off in May when she performs in several Paris performances.

It can be recalled that Taylor Swift was recently reported to be distantly connected to American literary giant Emily Dickinson, a report from the genealogy site, Ancestry has revealed.

According to the study, the two ladies are sixth cousins, three times removed. Ancestry’s results also revealed that the award-winning singer and the poet – who was born in 1830 and died at the age of 55 in 1886- , are descendants of the same 17th-century English immigrant.

Taylor Swift’s ninth great-grandfather and Dickinson’s sixth great-grandfather were the early Windsor, Connecticut, settlers.

The musician’s forefathers lived in Connecticut for six generations before relocating to northeastern Pennsylvania and marrying into the Swift dynasty. Many years later, Scott and Andrea Swift had their first daughter on December 13, 1989, in West Reading before relocating to Nashville.

Swift’s link to one of history’s most celebrated poets comes at an interesting point in her career, since her upcoming album is named The Tortured Poets Department. The 16-track LP, which includes four special extra versions, will be released on April 19.

The singer made public the final edition of Tortured Poets during her March 3 Eras Tour event in Singapore, announcing that the fourth album will be named The Black Dog. It follows announcements for The ManuscriptThe Albatross and The Bolter, each of which includes one unique additional track.
