Princess Love posted on Instagram that she and R&B singer Ray J are getting divorced – this would make it a total of 4 times so far that the couple are heading for separation.

The couple reportedly hit it off at a New Year’s Eve party and quickly went into an exclusive relationship. But when Love made an appearance on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood in 2014 as Ray J’s girlfriend, they made their relationship known to the public.

Even though they were loved by viewers of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, the couple had trouble with trust and even got into arguments a lot throughout the seasons. The focus of their on-screen narratives was Ray J’s adultery, which caused them to split up. But by the conclusion of season 3, the couple was engaged.

Their extravagant 2016 wedding was highlighted in the fourth season. The A-listers in business were present at the ceremony which took place at the Cathedral of Saint Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles. Ray wore a black tuxedo, while Love wore a custom-made Lazaro gown.

The couple parent to two children: a son named Epik, born in January 2020, and a daughter named Melody, born in 2018.

Rumors of cheating Ray’s started to circulate. During that moment, the pair was in Las Vegas for the 2019 Soul Train Awards. He responded with a public apology after Love threatened to file for divorce. In the end, the couple got back together.

Ray J was stuck in Las Vegas during the pandemic as a result of the cheating scandal. Love insisted on being placed in quarantine for 14 days before allowing him to see his kids, which caused co-parenting difficulties during that time. Notwithstanding their marital difficulties, both have insisted that the other is a fantastic parent.

However, Princess Love filed for divorce in May 2020, but the case was dismissed in July. Ray J filed for divorce in September, citing “irreconcilable differences,” but he later canceled the divorce in March 2021. In the same year, the couple filed for divorce once more, but in March 2023, their case was dismissed.

However, on Monday, February 26, 2024, Princess Love took to social media to announce that she and Ray J were divorcing. She said the decision was mutual and that they respected one another.

Princess Love wrote on her Instagram. “It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce. After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways.”

“We want to reassure you that this decision was made thoughtfully and with mutual respect and consideration for each other’s well-being. While our relationship as spouses may be coming to an end, we remain committed to co-parenting our children and maintaining a positive and supportive family dynamic,” the statement added.

Princess Love made history during Black History Month by becoming the first black woman to win the Celebrity Poker Tour Invitational II in Las Vegas.
