Burgeoning Nigerian singer and rapper, Odumodublvck known in real life as Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, has finally released his much-anticipated mixtape, Eziokwu, and his fans are on cloud nine after listening to it.

The 14-tracklist project has been in the works for some time with many waiting with bated breath for the mixtape to be released and rightly so, fans have already indicated that the wait was worth it.

The recent work of the 2023 Headies Award winner for Best Rap Single is a testament to his growing dominance in the music scene. He masterfully mixes Afrobeats, RnB, and his own uniquely-created rhythm which he calls “Okporoko”.

Eziokwu, which translates into “Truth” from the native Nigerian language Igbo, has already won the hearts of cult followers of the musician who have praised his lyrical dexterity.

The Declan Rice crooner was determined to deliver a masterpiece and he employed the services of a host of artistes who featured on the songs. Bella Shmurda, TeeZee, Fireboy DML, and Amaarae are a few of the stars on the project.

Typical of his music style, the sound in the mixtape comprised hardcore beats as well as guitar strings underlined by some sweet melodies that would get fans dancing and bobbing their heads.

Some of the songs on the mixtape include the popular tribute to English Premier League and England player, Declan Rice, which bears the same name, Kuborlor, Shoot And Go Home, Tesla Boy, Saint Obi and Hammer Time.

Odumodublvck came into the limelight over a decade ago and has since remained a force to reckon with when it comes to rap. He has been compared to DMX due to some similarities in their rap styles.

Meanwhile, Afrobeats+ earlier reported that Ghanaian Afrobeats star, Black Sherif, has swept many off their feet both locally and internationally with hits like Kweku Frimpong and The Villain I Never Was.

The 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Artiste of the Year winner made history by becoming the second Ghanaian to win the BET Hip Hop Award for ‘Best International Flow.’

The Ghanaian artiste, born Mohammed Ismail Sherif, was awarded ‘Best International Flow’ at the 2023 Hip Hop Awards hosted in Atlanta, USA. The award show was recorded on Tuesday and will be broadcast on October 10, 2023.

The 21-year-old emerged victorious in the International Flow category, beating eight other competitors, including Central Cee, Gazo, J Hus, and AKA.
