More than ten years ago, Nicki Minaj revealed on X (formerly Twitter), that she had a younger sister whose picture was she uploaded.

Ming Luan Li, the rapper’s half-sister from her father’s side of the family, was then presented to the Anaconda singer’s fans.

The now 18-year-old Ming has started her music career and revealed that two songs are already in her name.

She released Thinking About You last week and is set to drop Do It Again featuring Rakeem Love in the coming days.

Ming Luan Li informed her fans that she wished to break free from the stereotype of being Nicki Minaj’s younger sister and that she intended to carve out her own path as an artiste.

“After I launch my music career, I won’t be referred to as Nicki Minaj’s younger sister. Ming Luan Li is my name,” she stated in a video. “And starting now, I’m going to achieve great things on my own without needing any kind of easy or covert assistance.”

The latest controversy involving Minaj and her diss track, Big Foot, against Megan Thee Stallion was also discussed by Ming Luan Li.

“I’m going to put in the effort to succeed. All of these rumors have nothing to do with me, and I don’t care about any kind of drama or beef.”

“I want to put more effort into my music. I want to work on my career.” I want to put my life to use in some way. I wish to make wiser decisions. My goal is to improve. Yes, I do appreciate all of the love, support, and other things that I’ve received. I also adore the tunes. I love the two songs we now have, and I’m grateful to you all,” Ming concluded.
