For fans who would be gathered at the Wrestlemania 40, legendary rapper, Lil Wayne has a surprise for them.

The music artiste confirmed that he would be one of the several notable celebrities to attend the event in Philadelphia.

He announced during a brief but memorable interaction with superstar Jey Uso on the most recent episode of WWE Monday Night RAW about his attendance. However, not only will he be attending, but the rapper will be debuting a new song as well.

Uso was reportedly star-struck upon bumping into Wayne backstage and urged the rapper to make time in his busy schedule to “come through” to Philly, to which Wayne agreed.

However, the title of the single, and its producer, have yet to be announced, but Uso is eager to hear it, and gave Wayne a taste of his signature catchphrase “yeet” upon learning about the rapper’s plans, and got a “yeet” in return!

Given that it has been a while since he released solo material, fans are highly expectant and are waiting to see what he has in store for them.

Per available information, he is currently working on an anticipated album, Tha Carter VI, which was announced two years ago.

In addition to the rapper’s Wrestlemania 40 appearance, he will perform at the 2024 Roots Picnic at the Mann in Fairmount Park. Wayne is set to co-headline the event with R&B singer and Philly native, Jill Scott.

In other news, it has emerged that 2 Chainz used to be Lil Wayne’s weed dealer. Opening up about how they first met, Wayne revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that it was at a studio in Atlanta, and had great chemistry from the start.

“I mean, once we linked up, we were friends from there,” he explained. “Just same type of attitude, cool, but I didn’t know he rapped at the time.”

While they weren’t yet connected through their music, they had come together through another one of their passions, weed.
