Stellar Ghanaian songstress, Sefadzi Abena Amesu, popularly known as Sefa has set the tone for an amazing last quarter of 2023 with her new project which is set to get her fans stoked.

Having ‘choked’ her fans in 2021 with hit single E Choke, the Ghanaian singer and songwriter has teamed up with legendary Ivorian singer Freddy Meiway to release her new single titled Vibration.

The fast-tempoed Afrobeats song fused with Amapiano hooks has already started making waves on streaming platforms and on Ghanaian radio preparing the grounds for a global take-off.

Sefa seems to have sourced inspiration from Nigerian singer Ayra Starr who sampled Congolese singer Awilo Longoba’s song Coupé Bibamba for the viral tune Sability, recorded earlier this year, and has also done the same with Meiway’s Zoblazo.

Prior to composing Vibration, Sefa dropped a single, Soft Life in 2022. She also collaborated with Ghanaian rapper and Afrobeats act Sarkodie on the song Fever in 2021.

The latest, Vibration, is more of an appellation to a lover who gives the partner the right treatment. The Afrobeat rhythm, expected to catch up with music lovers, has the chorus from Freddy Meiway’s hit song Zoblazo.

In addition to the reverberating baselines of the new danceable melody, Freddy Meiway brought on his lucid vocals, giving a perfect backing effect to the female singer’s original voice.

Composed with her usual lively voice, Sefa in the song, stresses among other things, the irresistible nature of her partner’s love and affection.

“The way you do me, makes fine girl go crazy; body on my body, give me sweet vibration…this kind thing heavy, come and chop my honey….” A line from Vibration goes.

Although this is the first time the rising star has joined hands with a veteran musician of Meiway’s caliber, the partnership is not surprising to many as the singer hinted at a huge collaboration early on.

The Shuga crooner had told local news outlets that she grew up listening to Freddy Meiway’s Zoblazo and had always wanted to create her own version of the popular African song.

As expected, Vibration comes with dedicated dance moves, just as the singer did for her E Choke hit song.’

The 28-year-old act has over the years established herself as a young vocalist with huge potential in the music industry. She recently displayed her vocal prowess when she featured on Ghanaian Highlife singer Bisa Kdei’s Too Much — a single on the Highlife musician’s 2023 ‘Original’ album.
