Afrobeats singer, Fireboy DML seems satisfied with his talent but would not mind venturing into the movie industry.
Speaking about his upcoming album in an interview with Billboard News, the Peru hitmaker said he would also like to follow his second passion (acting) to see where the path leads.
The album, according to the singer, would be ready this year, but he did not disclose the title.
“I am finishing up the album here in Las Vegas, I’ve got an apartment with a pool to shoot a beautiful video [with] beautiful women in the pool…I just want to be in an environment that gives happiness, peace of mind, and comfort…that is what I want the album to sound like, that’s why it has taken this much time,” he explained.
The ‘Bandana’ hitmaker would also embark on a tour when the album is finally launched. He knew his fans were somewhat “impatient” to hear his new sound but said the wait “would be worth it.”

“I’m going to be touring a lot…I am going to do a lot of stuff that I used to overthink a couple of years ago. I’m also going into the movie industry; I’m going to be acting.
“My people have always said I am a dramatic young man…I know being dramatic does not equate to knowing how to act but I have acted in a lot of music videos and I’m like I can’t let this gift go waste so I am curious to see where it leads me,” he stated.
Last month, Fireboy DML was announced as the headline act at the 4th edition of the Afro-Caribbean Festival, hosted by City of Miramar Vice Mayor, Alexandra P. Davis.
This was after he released, a love-themed single titled Oh My which came with a touch of RnB and Afrobeats styles. The song followed the success of previous singles like Yawa and Someone.
Fireboy DML already has three albums to his credit and has collaborated with top performers like Ed Sheeran on Peru (remix), and has several other collaborations and awards under his belt.
